Seating is limited!! Tickets are Required, and are Distributed Without Charge one Half-Hour Prior to Performance, on a First-Come First-Served basis, one ticket only, to each person standing in line. ACE OF HEARTS MAGIC

Magician DAMIAN HART performs with big, colorful props - no cards or coins here! Kids and adults will love this parade of zany, and very amazing tricks. Two white doves, a rabbit, and some little volunteers take part. After the side-splitting laughter and jaw-dropping magic, the children get to pet the bunny and meet the birds up close!

SUPER SNAKES SSSsssss!

What makes a snake super? Kids will learn about nature's most misunderstood creatures from MICHAEL SHWEDICK. Revealing serpent secrets, he introduces, among others, a giant Albino Rock Python, a beautiful Green Anaconda, a stunning Mexican Milksnake and a rare Cobra! Also a Prehistoric Alligator, a Snapping Turtle, a Mexican Beaded Lizard, and a Nile Crocodile. Don't miss this!

ABOUT MARIMBA!

Children and adults alike will enjoy this captivating interactive concert, as REBECCA KITE tells the story of the marimba, while playing her fascinating instrument with zest and elan. Her selections are from classical music and world folk traditions, including the marimba music of Africa, Guatemala, Mexico and Japan. The audience is invited to join in the rhythmic fun!

STREET SMART: THE ADVENTURES OF POLLY PEDESTRIAN

Polly learns important lessons about traffic, pedestrian and bicycle safety - in English and Spanish - from an unlikely friend: Ricardo, a cavalier raccoon. Puppetry, cool characters and a rockin' finale enhance this wise play which also touches on taking responsibility for one's own actions, the repercussions of stealing, and having compassion for others. Valuable fun.

AESOP'S FABLES

The marvelous and magical tales of the fabled story-teller of ancient Greece come to life in a performance featuring colorful puppets, hand-made and operated by master puppeteer CHRIS HUDERT of APPLAUSE UNLIMITED. Through the stories, children learn life lessons which are as applicable and valuable today as they were in Athens many years ago.

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES AND NOT-TOO-SPOOKY-IMPROVS

The fun begins with BARRYMORE EAGLE'S HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARADE, so come ready to march in your costumes! Then, NOW THIS! KIDS!, a highly-skilled and imaginative improvisation troupe, will take the children's creative suggestions and devise rib-tickling musical tales of cats and moons, witches on brooms, and not-very-scary ghosties and goblins.

THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW

Join Ichabod Crane, Brom Bones, the lovely Katrina Van Tassel, the residents of Tarry Town and, oh, yes: the Headless Horseman, as they live the story made famous by the legend. THEATRE IV`s show is faithful to the original by Washington Irving and will thrill and chill, but is not too scary. No autumn is complete without the telling of this classic.

FAIRFAX CHINESE DANCE TROUPE

Performers of all ages in exquisite costumes vividly portray the life & culture of the many ethnic groups in Taiwan and China, through the art of dance and delicate body movement. They draw from folk traditions, fairy tales, court ceremonials and the martial arts. Prepare to be enchanted by intricate movements and dazzled by a feast of colors.

DEVONNA B. ROWE SINGS SONGS OF LIFE

The history of African Americans and folk music spring to life in this dynamic interactive performance. The children take part in music, song, dance and role-play, which makes historical and cultural connections for them. They see that Spirituals, songs of the Underground Railroad, sharecropper field-songs and the Blues still affect modern culture and
even Opera.

EL CORO INFANTIL EN ESPAÑOL

Young singers, drummers, instrumentalists and actors bring to life songs and stories from the folk traditions of the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America, South America, and Old Spain under the direction of CORA LEE KHAMBATTA. Pinocho the Cricket, the Wolf, Flocks of Birds, and mythical Latin creatures populate this fanciful concert sung in Spanish and English.

MAGIC AND BEYOND

The wizardry of DAVID GARRITY will delight children, and the child in every adult. Sunglass appear in a flash of fire, a table floats mysteriously through the air, objects materialize and vanish, hula hoops perform Hawaiian magic, and one brave dad gets sawed in two. This show is a happy treat for the whole family! Well, except for that one dad...?

MEET HER ROYAL MAJESTIE, QUEEN ELIZABETH I

Her Highness takes the children on a merry royal romp through the less serious aspects of life in her glittering era. MARY ANN JUNG, exquisitely red-wigged and costumed, channels the grand Gloriana, vividly describing the court and pastimes of her Golden Age. The Queen will teach her royal subjects the proper ways to bow and curtsy, and she keeps young audiences spellbound.

MAGICAL STORIES OUT OF AFRICA

Long before children heard Mother Goose rhymes or "Jack and the Beanstalk," stories were told in Africa about wise lions, wily snakes, and how the world began. ANNA MWALAGHO, actor, singer, dancer and poet, brings alive colorful folk tales and the rituals, musical poetry and lessons which they teach. Adults will be as fascinated as children with this delightful cultural journey.

TOM CROWL AND HIS SASSY SIDE-KICKS

An adroit ventriloquist, Tom shares the stage with his rambunctious pals. "Dangerous" Dudley Duck lives life on the edge and blurts out everything that pops into his head. Clair Voy Ant, the famous French Psychic Insect, sees all, knows all, and tells all whether you like it or not! Raoul the Monkey and Percival the Pirate -- well you just have to meet them!

PAPER TALES FROM THE ORIGAMI SWAMI

The Magical Swami is storyteller MEGAN HICKS, who holds children of all ages - and adults - spellbound by her words, and enchanted by her paper-folding marvels. She takes her audience to a world of imagination where a simple square of paper becomes an acrobat, a fireman's hat, a sailboat, a get well note, disguise for a spy, or a kiss goodbye.

MEET PENGUIN BOB!

Artist, Author and Illustrator JOE JAMALDINIAN recounts the escapades of his lovable creation Penguin Bob. Joe sketches pictures of Bob along the way as he weaves exciting stories in which Bob follows his quest to teach everyone, especially kids, to follow their dreams in a world of beautiful cultures and beautiful people. This is a unique artistic story-telling adventure.

LYLE, LYLE CROCODILE

Based on the timeless picture books by Bernard Waber, THEATRE IV's musical version of this happy tale is a happy romp. Join young Josh Primm as he moves to New York City, and share magical adventures with his loving parents, his stage-struck nemesis Hector P. Valenti, his persnickety neighbor Mr. Grumps, and his misfit (but oh so special) reptilian pet - Lyle!

PROFESSOR HORN'S PUNCH & JUDY SHOW

Children's Royal Variety Entertainment! An ornate Victorian stage and a time-honored script and antique wooden puppets, painstakingly carved and hand painted in England, appear, under the direction of "Professor Horn," who also performs amazing feats of legerdemain and plays merry melodies on a vintage hand-cranked hurdy-gurdy.

THE FASTEST PLANE ON THE PLANET

All systems are go for a earth-circling tour. Hop aboard for a multi-lingual round-trip flight with acrobatics, storytelling and music. With Tour Director ARIANNA ROSS, the kids will dance through the streets of America, Mexico and India, discovering these diverse cultures through charming folk tales and stories.
